Former Pastor Retrial Planned

People have long memories. Pastor James Kirkman is learning this lesson the hard way. He's about to be retried for molesting a teen age boy.

The first trial of this former Blair County pastor was held here at the Hollidaysburg courthouse back in June. It ended in a mistrial when the 12 member jury could not agree on a verdict. Now Assistant District Attorney Jackie Bernard is seeking to retry James Kirkman as soon as possible. But moves by Kirkman's Defense Attorney, Tom Forr, could delay that. The prosecution has petitioned the court to move ahead with the re-trial of James Kirkman and schedule the jury trial to take place during the October term of court.

Kirkman was the pastor at Faith Assembly of God Church in Blair county. He was in his 60 when the alleged crime took place. Kirkman is in trouble, two men from his past are willing to testify that he molested them 25 years ago.
