There is an asshole born every minute

Pastor Scott Allen Snyder is accused of kissing a teenage girl from his congregation and texting naked photos to another girl. He's sent hundreds of text messages and admitted to kissing one teen on the lips. He at least need to explain himself. Right?

But no. Instead he launches this screed. The world is out to prevent him from spreading the word of Jebuss to the masses. The police are not attacking Pastor Snyder, they are attacking Jebuss himself.

It is a sad day once again as we see the corruption of this world and the media. I have spent the last 7 days with our military soldiers and hear from them also of the lack of truth presented by the media. So much false information has been broadcasted and televised concerning charges and accusations against me. Things have been said that I have never said and accusations made that are simply not true. While this has been a direct attack on myself I believe it has really been a direct attack against the truth that I preach and stand for. This world hates Jesus Christ and any servant of His and is seeking to destroy the truth of God's Word. Once again we have seen the corruption of our media and its worldly sources. This country did have a motto that a person was innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. Unfortunately you are now guilty before the evidence is even presented. You are destroyed before the truth is known. This is a case that shows the horrible condition of our country and the open hatred toward our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and those men of God who still stand preaching the salvation of Jesus Christ. I cannot change how you feel about all the false information presented and reported about me, but I can say once again it is false, and that this will not stop me from continuing to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Let's take it down a notch bucko. Nobody cares who you are or what you preach. You are a second rate pastor of a second rate church who allegedly has a taste for young girls. Step away from the podium for a minute. Take a deep breath or two. Humility is not a bad thing. Especially when nobody give a fuck about your mission.

Interesting to me that when push comes to shove he hides behind the through-and-through secular principle that one is 'innocent until presumed guilty'. The judgments handed down in the Bible don't use that principle at all.

The Jesus he claims is being persecuted wouldn't give him the benefit of the doubt any more than the media he accuses of hypocrisy would.

I know Christians who would gladly see this guy thrown in jail or worse. Hell, Jesus himself said it would be better to have a millstone tied around your neck and be thrown into the sea, than to lead one of these little ones astray. Molesting kids is about as far astray as you can get.

Anybody got a millstone? ;-)

I've noticed a distinct revival of the concept that criticizing a Christian, or their prejudices, is akin to tossing them into a den of lions, or into a dungeon.

This guy seems to apply the other bit of this - if the criminal is a "good Christian" then they are above the law. (God will punish them, somehow. But I'll not get into that; it's a quagmire of contradictions.) It's often claimed by their followers, but for the pastor himself, to claim such? That's mere arrogance.

Ah well: hypocrisy is a defining "quality" for some of these people. Piety is but a word, and not one they understand.

Hello Everyone -

I have known Pastor Scott for the last 5 years, I am completely neutral on the situation and do not have an opinion on what happened, it is not my place to do so.

As Christians we are not to judge, the only person who is allowed to judge Pastor Scott is God.

God's word says that sin is sin and we are all sinners, not one sin is worse or better than another in God's eyes.

If Pastor Scott did what is said then he will be punished but it is not our place to gossip or judge the situation that is going on.

His family (wife and children) is suffering a lot from what is going on, and everyone making these comments and gossiping is making their lives worse, and they are innocent of all that is going on and don't deserve it.

I'm really not saying he's right or wrong but there is a lot to take into consideration with this and regardless it is no one's business to judge him in anyway, God will do that himself.

I see a lot of you are speaking of the Bible, you are Christians, you are not to gossip or judge. Please keep your comments to yourself, if Pastor Scott is in the wrong he will be punished, please don't punish his family by putting awful assumptions into other people's heads.

His daughter goes to school with these girls and is around the same age as them, think about all she is going through and how these rumors are heard by other kids and how rough of a time she is probably having, an innocent child who has done nothing.

What Would Jesus Do?

God Bless - I am praying for Pastor Scott and his family, and all of you as well.
